This is the 2 1/4" face crown molding. It sets out 1 1/2" and up 1 1/4" from the inside corner of the bottom from the inside corner of rabbet. The rabbet is for cabinet mount. For face mount we remove the back tab to allow fitting flush to a surface. These moldings with their deep cut ogee and smooth lines were designed to complement the round shape and soft lines of the rope, dentil and spindles.
