3/4" x 1 1/2" transition block with v groove to accept rope or dentil

This is the transition block. It measures 3/4" thick by 1 1/2" wide.   It serves as a base to set the crown molding on and has a V groove into the face to insert the rope or dentil.

The installation process:
1.  Attach the transition block to the wall at the correct distance from the ceiling.

2.  Place and fasten the crown molding onto the transition block.

3.  Install the rope or dentil into the transition block.
